Honestly, I'm really tired of working from 9 am to 9 pm or even 11:30 pm everyday. I definitely love my job, but I also need personal life. Engineers are human, not code machine. Why Chinese employer can exploit employees unrestrainedly without any feeling of guilty, and not be punished by the labor department?

When I was in college, I wanted to study in the Netherlands, then I gave up because of English and money. People always like to talk about the"world view", but most of them don't really go out to see the real world. I don't want to know the world just from photos and texts, I want to see it with my own eyes. Now I decide to look for an oversea job.

First and foremost, English communication. In order to meet daily and work needs, I have to practice my English listening and speaking as well as writing. I know the fast way to improve English is to talk with people and keep reading and writing. Because I live in China, people around me don't speak English, I have to practice conversations by English Learning APP. But if I am lucky, maybe I can make a friend who are native English-speaking on twitter. I read papers and articles everyday, but I rarely write, so I will develop a writing plan.

Secondly, professional knowledge and experiences. I am a back-end engineer with more than 3 years of work experience, but the work content has nothing to do with machine learning, so I have to improve myself by watching online lessons and reading paper as well as developing project on github.

Finally, faith. There are many real difficulties and imaginary difficulties in my preparations for oversea work. I got to have enough faith to overcome these difficulties, especially my own self-confidence. Like the Spiderman said, it's a leap of faith.
